Jeanette Hoffman, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and devoted member of her church community, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2025. She was surrounded by the love of her family in her final days.
Jeanette was an active and cherished member of her church, where she sang in the choir, and helped serve. She never missed an opportunity to share the word of Lord. She found great joy in playing the violin, writing poetry, and singing in the church choir. Her music and poetry were an extension of the joy and faith she carried within her. Jeanette always selflessly offered her support to those in need. She loved all God’s creatures and made a home for many dogs and cats over the years. Her spirit of service, unwavering love, and her deep faith were the foundation of her life. Jeanette’s presence was always felt with God’s grace and loving warmth.
As a military wife, Jeanette’s journey took her across the globe, including a special chapter in Turkey. These adventures were shared with her late husband, Bob Hawes. She was a devoted wife to her second husband, Bill Hoffman, who she always said was sent from God.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, Bill Hoffman; sister, Judy Pickett; daughters, Sophia Hawes-Tingey and Brenda New-Wrinkle and husband, Cliff Wrinkle; stepsons, Gabriel, Joshua, Benjamin, and wife, Oana Hoffman; grandchildren, Jennifer and Damon Sawyer, Jessica and Matthew Baker, Alexandra Fuller, Melyssa Hawes and Abby Hoffman; Brother in-law, Lonnie Hoyt; nieces, Crystal Hoyt, and Rebecca Gowan and extended family. She is also survived by her best friend, Ruth Redding, who was by her side through many years of joy, and church members who she cherished as family.
While we mourn the loss of Jeanette’s physical presence, we are comforted by the knowledge that she reunited with loving family members in Heaven and singing in the Lord’s Eternal Choir. Her legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to inspire and guide those she leaves behind.
A celebration honoring Jeanette's life will be held at Ash Creek Baptist Church, March 8, 2025 at 10 a.m.
