Jeanette (Janet) A. Reed, 92, died on August 4, 2025, at her residence in Port Charlotte, Florida under the care of hospice, with her son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter by her side.

Jeanette lived a long life filled with love and happiness, sadness and grief. She was known for her generosity and love for others. Janet opened up her home many times through the years to friends and family and was there for them in their time of need. She and her husband Robert (Bob) were the fun aunt and uncle. They are remembered by the rest of the family for their parties (adults upstairs, kids in the basement). And most of her nieces and nephews will have fond childhood memories of all the kind things she would do for them and the special trips she would take the kids on. If she saw a need in the family she would meet it.

Jeanette was an amazing cook, known for her special dishes, especially her baked clams. She was a bookkeeper in the financial district in her younger years. When she was older, she became a bookkeeper for a special needs organization and instilled in her children an understanding and openness about the handicapped.

Unfortunately, she outlived her husband, Robert, and her sister MaryAnn and many other beloved family members and friends. Jeanette is survived by her son Robert (Bobby),his wife Lisa and their daughter Chrissy, daughter Pamela, her husband Mike, and her son Robert, his wife Simone and their son Reign. Jeanette will be remembered by her surrogate grandson Bobby Stewart and his wife Zaire and their children.

She will be missed by many nieces and nephews and their children and the many friends she has had through the years. Thank you to all who helped her in her later years. You are forever in our hearts.
