Jeanette Roser Obituary

Jeanette E. Roser, 77, of Port Leyden and formerly of Taberg, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Lewis County Hospital. She was born in Rome on November 27. 1946, a daughter of the late Stuart and Ruby (Murfit) Piersall. On August 20, 1972, she was united in marriage to Andrew Roser in Westernville, NY. He passed away in 2019.

Jeanette was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She loved to play pitch, Bingo and the dice game, 10,000.

Jeanette is survived by five daughters, Sheila Sullivan (Jeff), Sandra Galarneau, Lisa Conover, Brenda Findlay (Darrick) and Cynthia Lohr (Gary); a sister, Susan Carpenter (Frederick); fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren with one on the way, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Gerald Piersall; a granddaughter, Alyssa Findlay; and a son-in-law, Grant Galarneau.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc. 418 N. George St., Rome NY 13440. Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 8th, from 4-6:00 p.m.
