Jeanette Elaine Stapish, 85, from Brooklyn, MI, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024, at home surrounded by her family. Celebration of life will take place at a later date.
She was born on October 4, 1939, in Taylor, MI, to Thomas and Edith (Coan) Thomson. Jeanette married the love of her life, John (Jack) Stapish, on May 6, 1960, in Taylor, MI. She graduated from Taylor Center High School. Jeanette attended the Harper University Hospital and attained her Registered Nurse degree. With this, she started as a private scrub nurse. Jeanette decided to join the Henry Ford Fairlane, also as a scrub nurse, until retirement. She spent over 30 years in the nursing field. Jeanette lost her husband in August 4, 2023, to Alzheimer's. In her spare time, Jeanette loved to craft; sewing, knitting or whatever craft was trending at the time. She also enjoyed reading, working in her flower garden and going camping. Jeanette would often go to Hoffmaster State Park, up north, to camp. After retirement, she and Jack had a group of friends that they would go camping with.
Jeanette will be missed by her children, Jacki (Ron) Bonner and Mike Stapish; siblings, Robert Thomson, Shirley (Richard) Douglas and Joanne (Bill) Dever; granddaughter, Kathryn Bonner; life time friend, Sharron Newhouse; and dear friends, Janet and Julias Enesey. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude's Children Hospital. Please leave a message of comfort for Jeanette family or sign her guestbook at www.EinederFuneralHomes.com.
