Jeanette Stevison, age 81, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
A lifelong resident of Cleveland, Jeanette was of the Baptist faith and lived a life marked by kindness, hard work, and a deep love for her family and community. She found joy in the simple things - crafting, attending auctions, caring for children, and keeping a warm and welcoming home.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 61 years, Gary Stevison; her daughter, Tanya Stevison; son, Dawson Stevison; her parents, JB and Viola Jones; and brothers. Robert, Charles, Cecil, Tom, Donnie and Perry Jones.
Survived by daughter, Lori Stevison; sister, Glenna Gay, Wanda (Allen) Smith; several nieces and nephews, great nephews and great nieces.
A private interment will be held at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.
The Stevison family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude Hearth Hospice of Cleveland for the compassionate care of love shown the Jeanette during her final days.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday from 5:00- 7:00 PM at Poole Funeral Home, 3000 Ralph Buckner Blvd, Cleveland. A Chapel service will follow at 7:00 PM with Chaplin Marv Eskew officiating.
