Jeanette Thompson Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jan. 29, 2023.
Katherine Jeanette Smith Thompson, was born September 4, 1929, to the late Wilbur Smith and Nettie Kanawha Berryhill Smith. On January 28, 2023, at age 93, she went home to Heaven where she now rejoices with her Savior, Jesus, and all her loved ones who went before her.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Limestone Baptist Church in Cochran, Georgia, with Reverend Jay Moore officiating. The family will meet friends following the service in the church.
Miss Jeanette, as she was so lovingly called, loved her Savior, Jesus Christ, and desired that everyone be saved by faith in Him. She was a Sunday School teacher for many years. When others experienced loss, she made her chicken casserole and always brought it to church dinners. Her tea cake cookies were an expression of her love. Until her health prevented her, everyone at Limestone Baptist Church received a dozen cookies on Sunday of the week of their birthday. She loved everyone she knew and she was a shining light for Jesus.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fedrick Hampton Thompson. Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Linda Paradis, Pam Wiles, and Sheree Thompson; grandchildren, Nica Linder (Chris), Micah Paradis (Martha), Leah Paradis, and Orie Cook (Wendy); 6 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews; also are her sisters-in-law, Mildred Smith and Carol Sexton.
Fisher Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
