Jeanette Willox Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Goes Funeral Care & Crematory - Fort Collins on May 20, 2025.
Jeanette Kathleen (Ehrlich) Willox, 82, of Brighton, CO, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, at Peaks Care Center in Longmont, CO, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 7, 1943, in Greeley, CO, to Alex and Eva (Heinze) Ehrlich. Jeanette was raised on a farm near Galeton, CO, alongside her siblings Allen, Chuck, and Joyce. It was on the family farm that she developed a strong work ethic, learning the values of patience and determination.
In 1955, the family moved to Fort Collins. Jeanette's first job was during high school, working at the Sunset Drive-In Theater, where she made many fond memories. After graduating from Fort Collins High School in 1960, she began working at Ghent Motor Company as a cashier and receptionist. In later years, after relocating to Denver, she held administrative, billing, and accounting roles at The Burke Company, Navaho Transportation, and Trimac Transportation.
It was at Ghent Motor Company where Jeanette met the love of her life, Robert Willox. They married in 1963 and were blessed with 53 years of marriage until Robert's passing in 2016.
Jeanette had a deep love for her family and cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She found joy in tending to her garden and yard, taking great pride in her outdoor space. Her greatest passion was organizing gatherings-especially Christmas celebrations, her favorite holiday. She didn't just delight in bringing people together; she truly lived for it. Creating memorable moments filled with warmth, laughter, and love for her family and friends was her greatest joy.
Jeanette is survived by her four children: Colene Willox of Brighton, CO; Daniel Willox of Austin, TX; Cheryl Richards (Jonathan) of Berthoud, CO; and Charles Willox (Maria) of Fayetteville, AR. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Amanda McCall, Ricky Sherril, Jackie Sherril, Meghan Willox, and Paige Willox; her sister, Joyce Schneider of Fort Collins, CO; and her brother, Chuck Ehrlich (Delores) of Casper, WY.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Willox; her grandson, Robert Chamberlain; her brother, Allen Ehrlich; her brothers-in-law, Kenneth Willox and Kenneth Schneider; and her sister-in-law, Joann Ehrlich.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on May 23, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Collins, CO. A private interment will take place at later date at Grandview Cemetery.
