Jeanette Patrice Wint

Jeanette Patrice Wint peacefully departed this life on August 31, 2025, in Windsor, CT.
Born on October 10th, Jeanette lived a life full of faith, strength, and generosity. She was known for her warm spirit, her wisdom, and her unwavering dedication to her family and community.
A true "bonafide" Jamaican, she loved to travel to and from Jamaica with her family. A devoted Christian and longtime member of Asylum Avenue Baptist church, she embodied the values of kindness, generosity, strength and faith.
Jeanette devoted over thirty years at The State of Connecticut Comptroller's office as a payroll supervisor. She also attended UCONN Law School and served as a State of CT mediator. In her retirement years, she established a nonprofit called Quality of Life Inc. dedicated to supporting local families in need. She always advocated for fairness and gave back to her community in so many ways.
She was a proud member of the West Indian Social Club and supported organizations such as Circle of Hands, My Sister's Place, All of Our Children, and the Children's Defense Fund. A strong believer in youth development, she sponsored children in Jamaica, supported the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, and invested her time in ensuring that "all our children" had opportunities to thrive. Jeanette was known as a true philanthropist and a pillar in her community.
Jeanette, a devoted matriarch, leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children: Manley Jason Clarke, Millicent Thompson, Monica McKay, Jepheth Clarke, Jr., eldest daughter and adopted children Zanielle and Tyreek. She also leaves behind her siblings: William Jones, Jr., Pauline Stinson, Alberta King, and Mary Alice Bratton. She was preceded in death by her mother, Florence Jones Wiggins, her father, William Jones Sr., sister Margaret Lloyd and husband Horace Wint.
Her legacy continues through her many grandchildren; Ariana, Azoya, Blaise "D-rock," Christopher, Dutchess, Faith, G'Noah, Jamie, Jason, Jauch, Jersiyah, Manley Jr., Princeton, Princess, Samantha, Terado,and Zi; goddaughters, Savanda and Yolonda; ten great-grandchildren, over twenty nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends who will forever treasure her wisdom, laughter, and love. Jeanette will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her giving spirit, and her commitment to making the community better for those around her. Her life was a testament to resilience, love, and service.
