Jeanie Lloyd, 67, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina passed away at home on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. She was born in Durham, NC on January 21, 1958 to the late Clarence and Carolyn Mitchell.
Mrs. Lloyd has been the Office Manager at Anxiety Disorders Treatment Center for over 16 years where she enjoyed helping staff and patients. She was married to Randy Lloyd at Antioch Baptist Church in 1990.
Jeanie, “Meme” as she is affectionately known, loved nothing more than spoiling her four grandchildren each and every day. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews play baseball and softball. She always looked forward to fishing and being outdoors. Most of all she loved being around her family.
Mrs. Lloyd will be remembered as a selfless and kindhearted woman who never met a stranger and loved everyone. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be so deeply missed.
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Randy Lloyd; sons, Delbert Lloyd (Pamela) and Brian Lloyd (Tiffany) and brothers, Tony Mitchell (Valerie), Jeff Mitchell and Chris Mitchell (Rebecca); granddaughters, Alysann Marrs (Zach) and Bailee Lloyd; grandsons, Randall Lloyd (Chloe) and Colby Lee; great granddaughter, Anniston Marrs; beloved doggy, Devonte and other loving family members.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, September 1, 2025, at Antioch Baptist Church, 1707 White Cross Rd., Chapel Hill, NC 27516. Kevin Wilson will officiate.
The family will receive friends after the service at Randy and Jeanie’s home.
