Jeanith Mae Harbour, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, departed this world on November 4, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on January 5, 1960, in Galveston, Texas, Jeanith was a vibrant beacon of love and faith throughout her life, known for her unwavering devotion as a faithful servant to the Lord.
Jeanith’s warmth and compassion radiated to everyone she met. She devoted her life to caring for her family, cherishing every moment spent with them. Jeanith was the proud wife of Johnny Law Harbour for an incredible 44 years, and together they created countless memories filled with love and laughter. Her children, John Harbour and his wife Michelle Pugh, and Megan McGough and her husband Jacob McGough, were her pride and joy, and she loved nurturing them with wisdom and strength.
As a grandmother, Jeanith’s heart expanded even further, encompassing her treasured grandchildren, Brooklyn Lee, Elmer Harbour, Jayce McGough, Caleb Harbour, and Jordan Harbour. She found immense joy in watching them grow and thrive, showcasing the traits she longed to impart to them: kindness, resilience, and an adventurous spirit.
Jeanith was a stylistic blend of creativity and practically; she had a passion for cooking and was particularly known for her homemade jelly, zucchini bread, and sweet potato bread, always inviting others to come and enjoy her culinary creations. A lover of adventure, she cherished the thrill of travel and was on the lookout for new experiences, whether it was fishing with family or exploring local garage sales and flea markets.
In addition to her boundless love for her family, Jeanith found joy in crafting, often gathering with the kids to create beautiful memories through art. An avid fan of Hallmark movies, she would delight in the warmth and romance of their storytelling, sharing a sweet laugh or tear with those she loved.
Jeanith is survived by her loving husband Johnny, her children and their spouses, grandchildren, and her brothers Sammy Powell and his wife Lorrie, Billy Powell and his wife Connie, her sister Mary Arrendell and her husband Bryant, and her mother-in-law Pat Harbour. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members, and a host of treasured friends, all of whom were touched by her kindness and generosity.
Jeanith was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Jean Waldrop Powell, her father, Clarence Raymond Powell, her son Bobby Harbour, her granddaughter Chloe Danielle Lee, and her father-in-law Henry Harbour. Each of them held a special place in her heart.
Jeanith Mae Harbour will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her big heart, her laughter, her faith, and her ability to bring people together. She has left an indelible mark on all who knew her, a legacy of love that will continue to thrive in the hearts of her family and friends.
