Born on January 22, 1945, in Winona, MS, to Vernon Austin and Mavis Marie Braswell Austin, Gale was a beloved mother, a cherished grandmother, wonderful sister, and a devoted family member.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Reece (Weyman), and her son, Kris Nichols (Geniveve), along with nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and her sisters, Ann Stringer and Jo Chamblee, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
