Jeanne C. Smith

SMITH, Jeanne C., age 82 of Centerville, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at her home. Jeanne is the daughter of the late Virginia Stout Smith. She earned her Masters from Wright State University and worked as an Associate Professor for Sinclair Community College. She was a member of the Dayton Woman's Club, Women's Literary Club, and College Women's Club and she served as a docent for the Dayton Art Institute. Jeanne is survived by nieces, Kathryn Asolas, her husband Nicholas and grand-nephew Andrew, and Kristine L. McKenna; nephew, William McKenna, wife Beverly and grand-neice Jennifer; all of California: Cousin Daun Cheslock of Dayton and several close friends. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 19th, at 10:30AM at First Baptist Church of Dayton, 111 W. Monument Ave. with Rev. Dr. Kennedy officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service (9:30AM). Burial to follow in Woodland Cemetery.
