I worked for Dr. Findlay for 10 years starting in 1995. We always joked that the reason she hired me was my love of the then Cleveland Indians. She often invited me to her lake house with my son Austin who took to "Uncle Jim right away. He took him canoeing and Austin loved it! I will always cherish the many memories we made. I thought of her often over the years, and life being how it is, I never reached out these last years. Life is fleeting. Make sure to reach out to those you hold close. Sooner rather than later. R.I.Heaven Joann. You and my mother can connect now and watch those Guardians together!

I worked for Dr Findlay and she was by far the loveliest person. So caring about her patients and down to earth I am so sorry

I was a medical student classmate@ Hopkins. Joann was a great classmate: kind and carried a maturity from her experience, but also a winsomeness and sense of humor that endeared her to everyone. I am pleased she was a consummate sports fan. My wife and I also have a similar interests.
My regards and condolences to you all,
Jim for the Scotts (class of 1981)

I was fortunate to get to know Joann as a classmate at John´s Hopkins. With a wonderful sense of humor and smile, Joann was always a ray of sunshine to all she touched. We all knew, as a kind and empathetic medical student she would become the gifted physician she was to be. I´m sure her patients, loved ones and friends will all miss her as former classmates do. May she rest in peace.

What a woman! She was a mentor to the women who knew her - as a professional and as a lady. She lived life to its fullest and loved with all her heart. Our sympathy to Jim and both families. I will miss her joie de vivre as she brought such insight , joy and laughter to any situation. Rest in peace dear friend.
