Jeanne Wilson

Jeanne Wilson, born on July 23, 1934, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the age of 91 with her children by her side.
Jeanne married the love of her life, Bud, on May 16, 1953, in Bethesda, Maryland. Together they raised two children, Bart and Brenda. Bud and Jeanne loved spending time with family and friends and could often be found at the local Moose or Elks clubs.
Jeanne was employed by the Sylvania School District as the principal's secretary at Southview High School, retiring in 1993. After retirement, Bud and Jeanne looked forward to escaping the frigid Ohio weather to spend their winters in Lakeland, Florida.
Jeanne enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and cooking. When Brenda was a little girl, she would sew beautiful, tiny Barbie clothes for her dolls. She sewed matching Christmas pajamas for her grandchildren and created beautiful quilts. When Brenda's mother-in-law passed away leaving a half-finished, complicated Cathedral Window quilt, Jeanne completed it. She was very talented and loved to share that talent with others.
Jeanne is survived by her children, Bart (Sue) and Brenda (Rob), grandchildren Kim (Bryan) Soss, Garrett (Allison) Wilson, Brandon (Emilee) Duffey, Collin (Emily) Duffey, Allison Duffey, and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Robert ("Bud") Wilson.
Jeanne's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Lakes of Sylvania for their loving care over the past three and a half years. Our mom was cared for with compassion and dignity by her nurses, aides, and physical therapists, who enjoyed her sass and her humor. In addition, we send so much gratitude to Jeanne's nurses from Ohio Living Hospice. The loving care she received will never be forgotten.
