Jeannette “Gram J” Bines, 77, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Albany Medical Center. Born in Orange, New Jersey in 1948, she was the daughter of the late Eddie Lee Bines and Mary Elizabeth Buffaloe.
Jeannette graduated from Orange High School in 1966. She worked as an administrative assistant performing clerical duties for IBM, Albany Medical Center, RPI and Farm Family. Jeannette lived in East Orange, NJ, Arvada, CO, and all over the Capital Region of New York. Jeannette was a valued member of the Bethlehem Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Her faithful presence will be missed.
Gram J is survived by son Martin Pennington of Accord, NY and his daughter Amber of Dover, DE. She is also survived by daughter, Allisson Reed, her husband Lance and their children Nathan, Jonathan, and Autumn of Ravena, NY. She is additionally survived by Kenneth Buffaloe, his wife Brenda and their two children of West Orange, NJ along with several other relatives.
Jeannette was predeceased by her brothers Herbert Bines and Edward Bines.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 4th at The Bethlehem Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 385 Elm Ave, Selkirk, NY 12158. Visitation will begin at 1:30 PM. The funeral discourse will begin at 2:00 PM. The program will also be available via video conference for which you can contact the family for the login details.
