Mrs. Suzzanne Ford Bond was born December 9, 1935, in Monroe, Louisiana to A.C. and Gertrude Ford.
A Time To Live And Love
She received her early education in the public schools of Jackson, Tennessee. She was a 1953 graduate of Merry High School. She continued her education and received her Bachelor's Degree from Lane College.
During her time at Lane, she was initiated into the Beta Chi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She later received her Master's Degree from Memphis State University. She taught school for 35 years, until her retirement from Jackson-Madison County School System. In addition to her teaching career, she was a licensed funeral director.
She worked for several years at her family businesses, Ford Funeral Home and Bond Funeral Home. She most recently worked with Henderson County Funeral Home.
She was a member of the Jackson (TN) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, The Jackson TN Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, The West Tennessee Funeral Directors and Embalmers Association, The National Association of Funeral Directors and Embalmers.
She was united in matrimony to the love of her life, Herman Bond for forty-nine years until his passing. Their union created two daughters, Forda Bond and LaFonda Bond. She also held dear to her heart her two grandsons, Ford Bond and Coreon Bond.
She was preceded in death by her father, A.C. Ford; her mother, Gertrude Singleton Ford; her husband, Heman Bond; her sister, Gwendolyn Ford Taylor, and her grandson, Ford Christian Bond.
She leaves to mourn her passing her daughters, Forda Bond and LaFonda Bond; her grandson, Coreon Bond, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
