Jeannette Elizabeth L’Hommedieu

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Jeannette Elizabeth L'Hommedieu, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, who peacefully left us on November 19, 2023, in Ruidoso, NM. Born on July 4, 1962, in Gomez Palacio, Durango, Mexico, Jeannette's life was marked by her vibrant spirit, warm heart, and passionate dedication to her work.

Despite facing various challenges early in life, Jeannette's determination and commitment shone through. She attended school up until the 12th grade and pursued her dreams, leaving an indelible mark on the culinary industry as a dedicated cook. Her exceptional skills and unwavering work ethic made her an invaluable asset to the restaurants she served.

Jeannette's love for her craft went beyond the walls of the kitchen. She used her talent to bring joy and flavor to the lives of countless patrons, leaving an enduring legacy in the culinary world. Her lifelong dedication and attention to detail will forever be remembered.

Jeanette enjoyed smokin cigaretts, eating sweets, and maybe being a little grumpy. She also loved being home listening to music and being on social media.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jeannette cherished the moments spent with her family. She leaves behind her loving brother, William L'Hommedieu, as well as her niece, Nadine L'Hommedieu and great niece Elize Hill. Jeannette's family was an integral part of her life, and she cherished every opportunity to support and uplift them.

The family kindly requests that friends and relatives join them in paying tribute to Jeannette's remarkable spirit during this time of remembrance.

In accordance with Jeannette's wishes, her remains will be cremated. The scattering of her ashes will take place at a location chosen by her family, symbolizing her eternal connection with nature and the freedom her spirit now embraces.

Jeannette Elizabeth L'Hommedieu will forever be missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her. Let us celebrate her life, honor her legacy, and cherish the moments we shared with Jeannette as we bid her a fond farewell.
