Ms. Jeannette C. Peoples was born on February 26, 1940, in North, South Carolina. She was the second oldest daughter of the late Tillie (T.C.) and Rubie Carson. She departed this earthly life on Sunday, September 28, 2025.

Jeannette was educated in the public schools of Lexington, and Richland Counties and graduated from Lake View High School. Her work history was very diverse, and she took pride in all that she did. Her primary job in her later years was being a caregiver at Daybreak Adult Care Services.

She was formally married to Mr. Jimmie Peoples, Sr., and from this union they had three beautiful children, Janet, Jimmie Jr., and Patricia.

Jeannette was a long-time member of Central Baptist Church, in Columbia, South Carolina.

Ms. Peoples was preceded in death by her parents, Tillie (T.C.) and Rubie Carson, and her sister Vivan Young.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory two daughters and one son, Janet (Kenneth Prince) Peoples Prince of West Columbia, SC, Jimmie Peoples, Jr., of Northbrook, IL, and Patricia Lynn Peoples, of Columbia, SC; three grandchildren, Ashley Peoples, Winston Prince and Joel Cole, Jr.; five sisters, Thelma Seibles, Hattie Vinson, Elaine Geter, Ernestine (John D.) Counts and LaVern Carson; one brother, Drelton (Barbara) Carson; and one brother-in-love, Jessie Young, all of Columbia, SC. Her children's grandmother, Ms. Viola Peoples and a host of nieces, nephews and many, many, many other people that love her dearly.
