Jeannette Spencer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pepper Funeral Home & Cremation Facility, Inc. on Dec. 9, 2025.
Jeannette I. (Tice) Spencer, 80, of Alba, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Darway Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Estella, PA. Jeannette Irene was born September 12, 1945, in Jersey Shore, PA, a daughter of the late Edward II and Barbara (Haas) Tice. She was a graduate of Jersey Shore High School with the class of 1963. Jeannette was a caretaker at Martha Lloyd in Troy for nearly 20 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Alba First Christian Church of Christ.

Jeannette was a strong, independent woman with a vibrant spirit. Outgoing and unapologetically honest. She was known for her spunky nature and her ability to speak her mind. Though she could be feisty, she was also deeply loving, always putting her family first. She found joy in cooking, baking and crocheting. But above all, her greatest love was her family, especially her cherished grandchildren.

Jeannette leaves behind her children; Charles (Audrey) Berry, Emily (Ken) Adams and Eric Spencer, grandchildren; Cassandra Berry, Kay Taylor, Katie Adams, Travis Spencer and Alison Spencer, siblings; Patricia (William) Miller, Cindy (Gary) Dunkleberger and Kathy (Gene) Stopper as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, Jeannette was predeceased by a brother; Corporal Edward J. Tice III.

In keeping with Jeannette's wishes there will be no services. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation in Jeannettes' name may be directed to Martha Lloyd ICF Building, 66 Lloyd Lane, Troy, PA 16947.
