Jeannine Rose Ackerson was born on June 10, 1929 at Wesley, Iowa to John and Viola (Luken) Studer. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Grade School and graduated in 1947 from Wesley High School where she was active in sports.

Jeannine married Everett Ackerson on September 2, 1947 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wesley. They were blessed with five children; Sandy, Sue, Denny, Deb, and Tim.

She remained an avid sports fan and enjoyed walking, putting together puzzles, and playing cards with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Algona, Iowa.

Jeannine died on November 15, 2025 at the Algona Manor Care Center at the age of 96.

She is survived by her children, Sandy (Jerry) Robbins of Albuquerque, NM; Sue (Dale) Fandel of Tega Cay, SC; Denny (Bobbi) Ackerson of Lincoln, NE; Deb (Dean) Trenary of Corwith, IA; and Tim (Penny) Ackerson of Windsor Heights, IA.

Also surviving are her twelve grandchildren, twenty two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Jeannine was preceded in death by her parents, John and Viola Studer, former husband, Everett Ackerson, brothers Bob, Gayle, and Bill, sister Vivian Kelch, and sisters-in-law Mary Lou Studer and Dorothy Studer.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Divine Mercy Parish – St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wesley, IA on Thursday, December 4 th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. The Inurnment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Wesley, IA.
