Jeannine Marie Camarda, 72, of Marblehead, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife to Ronald H. Crockett for 33 years. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Frank Thomas and Lorraine Eva (Coté) Camarda.

Jeannine graduated from Marblehead High School, Class of 1971 where she was a standout field hockey player. She was a part of the first ever Powderpuff Flag Football Classic which had its first game on Thanksgiving Weekend of 1970. She later went on to earn her bachelor's from UMass.

Jeannine was a staple in her community. She worked at Salem Willows and the Salem Italian Credit Union. She was a part of various organizations such as the Marblehead Dog Committee, being a President of the Sons of Italy in Salem, and the Italian American Alliance.

While her extraordinary athleticism will be remembered by many during her high school days, it will be her infectious laugh, love of reading and cooking for the holidays, her love for her two dogs, Raven and Trouble, and her ongoing loyalty and thoughtfulness for her family, friends, and those that asked for help along the way that will continue to live on through our memories.

In addition to her husband Ronald, she is survived by her daughter and sons by marriage; Nina Crockett-Arsenault, David Crockett and his wife Janet, and Ronald Crockett Jr. and his wife Janet.

She is also survived by her brothers Thomas Camarda and his wife Eileen and their children Michelle, Frank and James; Paul Camarda and his wife Terry and their children Ryan and Nicole; nephew William Camarda; 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many other great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased in death by her brother Frank Camarda.

Visitation hours for Jeannine will be held at the Murphy Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 4-8pm with a brief prayer service occurring at 7:30pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Research.
