Mr. Jed A. Kiebel, 64, Jefferson City passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026 peacefully surrounded by loved ones. He was born March 9, 1961 in Des Moines, Iowa, a son of the late John and Janet (Paar ) Kiebel. He was united in marriage in November of 2004 to Stephanie Battles who survives at their home.



He grew up in Dubuque, Iowa where he graduated from Wahlert high school in May of 1979. He then attended and graduated from Northeast Iowa Technical Institute in May of 1980. He moved to Missouri and attended the Nichols Career Center for Architectural Home Design.



He began a career of construction and home building where he built his home that he eventually shared with his wife and daughter.



In June of 1986 He became Jefferson City's Jaycee of the month for outstanding performance in the community. He eventually started a career with Canteen food services where he was employed for fifteen years before retiring. In his retirement Jed enjoyed making model cars and spending time with his family.




In addition to his wife: Stephanie; he is survived by a daughter: Julia (Acheron) Spencer of Jefferson City; two brothers: John (Trisha) Kiebel of Tallahassee, FL., Jeff Kiebel of Dubuque, IA.



He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Janet Kiebel.



A Celebration of Life will be private for the family at a later date.
