Jedediah Joel Dubay, 24, of Jay, NY, passed peacefully into spirit on Monday, January 6th, 2025, at his home in Jay. Jed was born on Sunday, April 23rd, 2000, in Plattsburgh, NY. Jed lived his whole life in his favorite place of Jay, NY.
Jed is survived by his grandmother, Mabel (Bobbie) Miller of Jay; his parents, Frank and Mona Dubay of Jay; his siblings, Nicholas Dubay and family of Plattsburgh, NY, Greta Bair-Dubay and family of Jay, NY, Brittany Dubay and family of Peru, NY, Emma Kribs and family of Rochester, NY, Isaac Dubay of Jay, NY, Caleb Dubay and family of Plattsburgh, NY, Samuel Dubay and family of Rochester, NY, and Tobias Dubay of Menands, NY. He has eight precious nieces and nephews and he has many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jed spent his life loving his family and friends. He was known for his ability to deeply love everyone and his willingness to lend a helping hand. If he knew you, he loved you. Jed enjoyed a number of seasons as a night snow maker at Whiteface Mountain. He was an amazing cook and had a gift for growing and healing plants. His connection with nature was one of his incredible strengths.
Jed's bright light and warm hello will remain with us always.
There will be a service in his honor at the Heidrick-Zaumetzer Funeral Home, 3 College Street, Au Sable Forks, NY on Wednesday, January 15th, 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friends and family who are able are invited to come to Jed's family home (186 Stickney Bridge Road, Jay) after the service.
