Jedidiah Ranger Loman, 35, met his Lord and Savior on September 27, 2025, just 28 days after Jed gave his life to Christ in Holy Baptism.

Born on July 19, 1990, to James and Rhonda Loman of Ina, Illinois, Jed was the definition of so many wonderful things in life. He was a loving husband, an amazing father, the best brother, an incredible son, the most fun uncle, an awesome cousin, and an outstanding friend. His family adored him, and his friends thought the entire world of him. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Jed is ingrained in so many of his loved one's memories. Jed showed up for his family and friends, if he could be there, he was there.

Jed enjoyed the simpler parts of life. He loved the outdoors and could easily be found hunting in the woods, on the lake fishing, or on the golf course. He enjoyed sharing those things with his family. If he wasn't outside, you could find him at his kids activities. His all-time favorite place to be was watching Grayson on the basketball court and Kensley on the softball field. It was undoubtedly clear how proud Jed was of his kids.

Jed married the love of his life, Tabitha Loman, on April 3, 2021. It was obvious to the world that what they shared was true love. Together, they loved and supported each other and their children every single day. Together they also brought Christ into their home and into their family. They set an example of a Godly household.

Jed is survived by his parents, who loved him deeply; his soul mate, Tabitha Loman; his children, Grayson Loman, Kensley Loman, and Conner Pierce, who were his pride and joy. He is also survived by his siblings: brother, Chad Kluck and wife, Heidi of Ina, sister, Jamie Hart of Ina, brother and best friend, Shannon Loman and wife, Brittany of Mount Vernon, and sister, Nichole Hudson and husband, Shannon of Troy. Jed absolutely adored his nieces and nephews, Zach Morgan, Megan Bond, Kassidy Clinton, Hunter Kluck, Bennett Ijames, Trenton Loman, Avalynn Loman, Tucker Loman, Preslea Shelton, Trent Shelton, Emery Kluck, River Settle, Rowan Settle, Ophelia Clinton, Delyla Clinton, Jayden Barcroft, Kaden Barcroft, Briggs Hudson, and Sophie Hudson. He will be missed by his mother and father-in-law, Matt and Charity Settle, as well as his brother and sisters-in-law, Tana Settle, Tim Settle and wife, Cait, and Taylea Shelton and husband, Kyle. He is survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins, including special cousins, Mark and Matt Hicks.

Jed was preceded and reunited with his grandparents, Kenneth Loman and Jack and Bonita Kluck.

Jed recently posted on his Facebook page the following Bible verse, may we all take comfort in the faith that he had in his Lord: "Be not afraid, only believe." - Mark 5:36

A Visitation will be held Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newell Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 3, 2025 at 11:00 am at Newell Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Cooksey officiating. Interment will follow at Kirk Cemetery in Ina, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Jed's honor to the Loman Family, in care of Tabitha Loman.
