David Jeffrey Anthony, 64, of Asheboro, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, at Randolph Hospice House following a brief battle with cancer.

Born on February 22, 1961, at Randolph Hospital, Jeff was a lifelong resident of Randolph County. He graduated from Asheboro High School in 1979 and went on to dedicate 30 years of service to Randolph County Schools, working at the bus garage. His commitment and work ethic were appreciated by all who knew him. From a young age, Jeff had a love for music and classic television, passions that brought him comfort and joy throughout his life. Jeff enjoyed many trips to Myrtle Beach. He especially cherished the Christmas season, finding great happiness in the company of family and friends during the holidays. In his later years, Jeff embraced a quiet, peaceful life and took great pride in maintaining his home and property.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, David and Joanne Anthony.

He is survived by his sister, Kristina Beckwith, and her husband, Clarke, along with numerous cousins and second cousins.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Randolph Hospice House, in appreciation for the exceptional care and compassion Jeff received in his final days.

Jeff will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Earlier today

I was Jeff's personal shopper at Lowe's foods. He was the absolute most amazing man I'd ever met. He was always so kind and such a delight to talk to. He will be missed! Prayers to all his family and friends who knew him.
