Jeff Berry Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Colonial Funeral Home & Crematory - Phenix City on Aug. 15, 2024.
It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Willard Jeff Berry, affectionately known as Jeff or JB, who left us on August 15, 2024, at the age of 54. Born on February 25, 1970, in Columbus, Georgia, Jeff was a lifelong resident of the community he adored and contributed to throughout his life.
Jeff's legacy is one of love, laughter, and skillful craftsmanship. As the proud owner of Remodco, a remodeling company specializing in home renovations, particularly bathrooms and countertops, he poured his passion and expertise into every project, leaving a trail of beautiful homes and satisfied customers. His work not only transformed spaces but also built lasting relationships with those he worked for and with.
An avid outdoorsman, Jeff's love for the natural world was evident in his pursuit of hunting and fishing. His impressive feat of harvesting 105 deer is a testament to his dedication and respect for the sport. Each deer was documented with care, a nod to his meticulous nature. His prowess on the water earned him the title of best pro angler for four consecutive years, a distinction he bore proudly. Known as the "Bama bass man," Jeff's tales of the catch were as big as his heart.
Jeff's enthusiasm for Alabama football was infectious. Whether it was game day or off-season, his spirit for his team never waned. But above all, it was his love for family that truly defined him. Jeff's role as a father, fiancé, brother, and grandfather was where he shined the brightest. He is survived by his loving family, including his daughters Kirsten and Kaleigh Berry, son Blake Berry, fiancée Vicki Elkins McCall, former wife Sandra Berry, brothers Mike (Joann) Berry and Jerry Berry, sister Vicki (Jimmy) Deal, and his cherished grandchildren, Cohen Thomas and Adalyn Macon. He will also be fondly remembered by his numerous nieces and nephews.
Jeff was a man who never met a stranger. His friendly demeanor and ready smile made him a beloved figure in the community. He had a gift for making people laugh and feel at ease, a trait that endeared him to many. His friends and family will remember him as someone who could lighten any room with his humor and warmth.
In every aspect of his life, Jeff was the epitome of a friendly and handy individual. His ability to fix and create was matched only by his capacity to forge friendships and bring joy to those around him. His absence will leave a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit will live on through the stories told, the memories shared, and the laughter that continues in his honor.
As we bid farewell to Jeff, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. His impact on our lives is immeasurable, and his presence will be sorely missed. Jeff's journey on earth may have concluded, but his story will continue to inspire and resonate with all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.
A celebration of life service will be Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 12:00 - 2:00 pm at Landmark Church.

May God's promise found in John 6:40, of the hope to see our loved ones again, comfort your heart and give you peace, strength, and hope in the days ahead.

I´m Jennifer . I grew up around Jeff. He was my brother Jeremy´s best friend. When they were young you could hardly catch them apart. I have many funny stories to tell but right now my heart breaks to learn of his passing so young. He did have a big heart and he was kind to everyone. I remember his laugh the most. Rest In Peace Jeff. I´ll be praying for his fiancé and his family.
