Jeff B. Fry

Jeff B. Fry, 71, of East Waterford, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, MD.

Born on April 22, 1954, in Lewistown, Mifflin County, he was the son of the late William L. "Bill" and Anna P. (Brackbill) Fry.

On June 10, 1978, he married his surviving wife, Dawn (Beaston) Fry, with whom he was blessed to share over 47 years of marriage before his passing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Dr. Michaela Fry DVM and her husband Jason Hockenberry and Todd Fry and his wife, Jill; three grandchildren, Banks Fry, Kael Fry, and Maude Hockenberry; and three siblings, Brenda Perrelli and her husband George, Lynn B. Fry, and Seth D. Fry and his wife Tracey.

Jeff was a 1972 graduate of Juniata High School in Mifflintown and was employed and retired as a self-employed Excavator. In earlier life, he was employed by Ken Leach and after he retired, he served as part-time staff for over 11 years with the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., Mifflintown and McAlisterville where he proudly drove the hearse and had taken many area residents and loved ones to their final place of rest.

Mr. Fry was a member and attended Faith in Christ Community Church in East Waterford and had served on the East Waterford Cemetery Association Board of Directors, currently as the Secretary where he had laid out the graves and was a previous gravedigger.

He was an ardent hunter and fisherman who also enjoyed woodworking, model trains, going to Canada and attending his annual fishing trips, and cooking for his family; however, his greatest joy came from time spent with family, especially his children and his cherished grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with the Rev. Gerald Miller officiating. Interment will follow at the East Waterford Cemetery.

A viewing will be held from 5-7 PM on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the funeral home.
