Floyd H. Rowles, 77, of East Waterford, Cross Keys, passed away March 2, 2026, in Geisinger Lewistown Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce A. (Bradshaw)) Rowles in 2008.

He was born at home in Lack Township on January 2, 1949, a son of the late Homer C. and Jean (Kelly) Rowles. Floyd lived in Juniata County most all his life and attended school at Juniata Joint High School in Mifflintown. From high school he enlisted in the Marine Corps serving in Vietnam. He received several medals along with the Combat Action Ribbon and Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. He was Honorably Discharged as Cpl. Rowles in 1970.

Floyd was a member of Union Local 158, Harrisburg, working as a skilled laborer until retiring.

He was a member of Cross Keys Church of God. Floyd loved to hunt and fish and attend dirt track racing. He had played men's softball for the Cross Keys and East Waterford teams. His favorite teams that he appreciated watching were the Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles.

Being with his children and grandchildren brought him the most joy of all.

Surviving are 3 children, Michael R. Rowles (Linda) of East Waterford, Brian M. Rowles, St. Thomas and Angela Weiand (Dale) of McAlisterville. Also surviving are 3 generations of grandchildren, a brother, Darve Rowles of Highspire and a sister, Sharon Scott of Watsontown. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Swartz and a brother, Homer Rowles.

The funeral service will be held in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 11 AM with Pastors Judy Rowles and David Stewart officiating. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Upper Tuscarora (Brick Church) Cemetery. www.agettlakjer.com
