Jeffrey Travis Green, Jr., fondly known as Mr. Green or simply Jeff by those who knew and loved him, was called to his heavenly home on August 28, 2025, after a courageous battle with an unexpected illness. Born on November 23, 1952, in El Paso, Texas, Jeff's life was a testament to his unwavering faith, his devotion to his family, and his commitment to serving others through his work as a Physician Assistant.
Jeff graduated from the Academy of Health Sciences U.S. Army at Fort Sam Houston, Texas in 1982, as a Physician Assistant, embarking on a career that proved not only his intelligence but his innate desire to care for those in need. He retired from the U.S. Army after eighteen years of service. Jeff was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Good Conduct Medal, 2D Award. Throughout his years of service, Jeff touched countless lives with his kindness and medical ability, leaving an indelible mark on the community and his professional colleagues. Of the 45 years of practicing medicine, the last 25 were in the field of asthma, allergies, dermatology and pediatrics.
A man of deep Christian faith, Jeff lived his life as an embodiment of God's love. His actions reflected the words of 1 Corinthians 16:14, "Let all that you do be done in love." This guiding principle was clear in everything he did, from his work to the way he nurtured relationships with friends and family.
Jeff and Ellexis invite you to accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior if you have not already done so. "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile." Romans 1:16
Jeff's departure leaves a profound hole in our hearts and is a perfect time to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jeff's last act of caring for you is his desire for you to be with him eternally in Heaven by making Jesus Christ the Lord of your life today. "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord', and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Hebrews 10:9
Jeff's home in
Corpus Christi, Texas, which he shared with his beloved wife, Ellexis, married for twenty years. Their home was a sanctuary of warmth and laughter, a place where his faith-filled spirit shone brightly. Jeff and Ellexis loved each other immensely. He found joy in the simplest of God's creations, caring for his animals on their small homestead. His horse, chickens, ducks, fish, and a lively collection of five dogs and five cats brought him immense happiness, as did his love for the San Francisco 49ers and the game of golf, which he approached with the same passion and dedication as he did all aspects of his life.
His sisters, Betty Green, Judy Green-Ferrari, and Caroline Green, will lovingly remember Jeff's loving heart, his infectious laugh, and his boundless intelligence. They, along with his wife, Ellexis, cherish the memories of a man who was truly a light in the lives of those he met.
Jeff made everyone feel loved, valued, and cared for, completely unselfish and profoundly generous. This is Jeff Green's everlasting legacy. "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13
Now, as Jeff is in the presence of our Lord, we take comfort in knowing that his life was one well-lived, full of purpose and brimming with love. While we mourn his unexpected passing, we also give thanks for the blessing that was his time on earth. Jeff's spirit will continue to inspire us, reminding us to approach each day with love, intelligence, and faith, just as he did.
