Jeff Morris Maddox

Jeff Morris Maddox, 88, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away on December 7, 2025. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in Kansas City, Kansas.
Jeff was born on February 23, 1937, to L.C. and Ada Madox. He was an educator who cared deeply for his students and staff. During his career he was a teacher, education director, and school superintendent.
He loved traveling with his wife Eleanor throughout the United States as well as New Zealand and Australia. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family. He loved the Lord with all of his heart. In his words to our mother, "I love the Lord first, you second, and our daughters third." As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings. He is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor Maddox; his daughters, Jennifer Kern and Janet Maddox; grandchildren, Aaron Kern and wife Erin Kern, Laurie Walter and husband Cody Walter, Brandon Goracke, Marinna Peters and husband Joe Peters; great-grandchildren Luke, Josi, Lane, Kyler, Eleanor, and Everett.
