Jeff Lon McAdams

Jeffrey “Jeff” Lon McAdams, 71, of Burlington, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025 at the Hospice Home surrounded by his family. He was a native Alamance County and the son of the late Lon and Anne Blue McAdams. He was the husband of 26 years to Sherry Grant McAdams who survives.

Jeff retired as a photographer from Carolina Biological Supply after 35 years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, boating and fishing. He was an avid fan of Duke and his favorite musical artist was Bruce Springsteen. He loved spending times with his family and grandchildren and family beach trips.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Sherry Grant McAdams of the home; daughter, Monica Johnson and her husband, Ryan of Burlington; son, Grant Saunders and his wife, Alyssa of Raleigh; grandchildren, Saunders Johnson, Duke Johnson, Colt Saunders, Peyten Gambrell and Hattie Mae Saunders. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Laura McAdams and his brother, Doug McAdams; his dog, “Jackson”.

The family would like to thank all the care givers that helped care for Jeff over the past 5 years. You helped make this journey a blessing to our family!

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be at held on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 11:00AM at Magnolia Cemetery in Elon. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
