I worked with Jeff at Greiner Engineering and URS Corp. from 1986 to 2021. He was always a cheerful and thoughtful person who did his job very well. So sorry to learn of his passing.

I am so thankful to have met Jeff and to have had the privilege of serving the River People with him in the Amazon this past summer. Thankful for your impact, your smile, and positivity in the face of adversity. You will

I met Jeff on a Mission trip in Brazil in July of 2023. Jeff had just learned of his cancer diagnosis just a week before the trip and he still chose to serve the Lord on the Amazon River. Rest well my friend! I am confident you were greeted with "Well done my good and faithful servant...well done".

Meeting Mr Jeff was a privilege and a very fun and beautiful time to serve God in Amazonas! Even with a serious diagnosis, he chose to come to Amazonas and dedicate his operational days to the Lord Jesus! My tears fall, but my heart rejoices in the Lord for the Goodness of God through Jesus Christ who gives us the Hope of Eternal Life and of seeing ourselves joyful and without illness and pain! Praise be to God for the life of Mr Jeff!

I was honored to know Jeff as a colleague at work and considered him a friend. As is the case with many jobs these days, much of our work is done over the phone and most interactions happen between colleagues over video. It´s hard to make connections with others that way, but Jeff was able to do so as well, if not better, than most.

I always enjoyed listening to Jeff´s stories about some of the things he got into as a kid or reminiscing about his time in the Air Force. Above all else I will always remember there being a canine friend at Jeff´s feet. Jeff loved senior dogs most of all. It takes someone with a special heart to want to care for animals in the latter stages of their lives. Not only is that a lot of work, it also takes an emotional toll knowing that your time with your four-legged companion is so very limited. A lot of people choose to surrender their animals when they get old. Just discard them as if they were a beat-up pair of shoes that didn´t belong with them anymore; discarding them with the rest of the items that have become a burden to them. Whether it was feeding those dogs at the SPCA or caring for them in his home, Jeff was willing to do the things that others no longer wanted to - showing love that let a calloused heart beat again and a droopy tail dance just a little bit longer.

What Jeff did in his time here on Earth was an expression of the human spirit at its best. We will all miss our friend and I look forward to the time when we meet again.

My fondest memories of Jeff include his true compassion for animals and his heart-warming stories from when he served in the U.S. Air Force. Jeff made the world a better place and will be missed by many of us.

I'm very sad to hear about Jeff's passing. Jeff and I were colleagues at Cardno and Stantec on opposite sides of the county, he in FL and I in CA. While I only new him for a couple of years or so, we would catch-up once in a while. He LOVED his doggies and he would talk so fondly about all of them and shared photos of them. He waited patiently for his new doggie Willa and was so happy to have her in his life. He truly cared about his friends and colleagues. I remember him telling us that his friends helped him decorate his home outside for Christmas (how nice!) and how he was helping a friend who had a problems. He seemed very loyal to his friends. I'm sure Jeff had friends by his side in his time of need. I sure would've reached out to you Jeff if I had known about your illness. He talked about his time in the military very fondly and would talk about all the places he was stationed. He and I had something in common - both born in WV. We talked about that too. You are missed my friend!

Jeff was my best friend and, as he would say, brother from another mother. He literary picked me off the street and invited me into his home without hesitation. More than a friend, he was family. He was the best man at my wedding with my beautiful bride, Jacky, who he had great esteem for and whom he approved of for me. He was always sincere and spoke from the heart. He loved the Lord God with all his might and was always reading the Bible. His love of rescue dogs and feral cats dictates the kind of person he was.

Jacky and I miss him greatly but there is joy in knowing that we have a saint in Heaven looking down on us with a big smile and a quick joke.

My heart goes out to all his family and kin. God Bless you all.

Jethro, You were a huge part of my high school life and although we lost touch, we reunited mostly through social media in recent years. I will always be your DAS Ann! RIP my friend!

We are deeply saddened to hear of Jeff´s passing -he was a kind and compassionate man and his commitment to his canine companions was evident over the many years I was honored to serve as his veterinarian.
We will miss seeing him and Willa at our practice.
