Jeffery Alan Darnell (Woods) was born on May 8, 1967, to Robbie (Rusty) and Lynda Woods, in Curry County, New Mexico, on Cannon Air Force Base. Jeff went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 23, 2024.
Jeff was a devout Catholic, master machinist, 101st Airborne Army Veteran, and fire building fanatic. He accomplished many things in life including being a certified jump master, with over 1000 skydiving jumps, member of the Knights of Columbus, but being a grandpa was his favorite accomplishment in life. He spent lots of time in nature and loved animals, especially his dogs. Jeff was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and even in the midst of tough times his faith never wavered. Jeff was not only a fisherman, but he was also a fisher of men. His sarcastic humor, smile, and positive outlook on life could change anybody's day. Jeff will be remembered for his love of Christ and the people that surrounded him, whether they knew him or not.
Jeff is preceded in death by his sister, Sherry Ellen Woods; parents, Wayne and Lynda Boyter; grandparents, Eugene and Lucille Darnell, Dennis and Pauline Boyter, and Robert and Rosa Woods; and his granddaughter, Hadleigh Marie Dalton.
His love lives on and left to cherish his memory are daughters, Rachael Ellen Dalton and husband, Robert Dalton of Haughton, Louisiana, Sarah Darnell of Oregon, Hannah Marie Darnell, and Hailey Reeves of Mooringsport, Louisiana; sister, Jenny Caster and husband, Matt of Blanchard, Louisiana; niece and nephew, Garret and Melissa Caster; grandchildren, Teagan Jones, Mona Jones, Amsleigh Dalton, Zander Curtis, and Elias Paul; wife, Deana Darnell of Mooringsport, Louisiana; his uncles, Roy Darnell and wife, Ruth of Haughton, Louisiana, W.E. Boyter, and Clayton Boyter, his aunt, Rose Woods; and his father, Rusty Woods, of Ringgold, Louisiana.

Jeff was a good friend and coworker. Always trying to please and help when asked at The Skydive Experience. He was well liked and trusted with many tasks at the drop zone. He will be remembered as a fellow skydiver and friend to many of us.
Rest in peace.
