Jeffery Dwayne McElfresh

Jeffery Dwayne McElfresh was born July 17, 1980, in Rolla, Missouri. He was one of two sons born to Stanley and Jeanie (Hutchens) McElfresh. Known to many as Jeff, he grew up and attended school in Salem, Missouri.
Jeff met the love of his life, Jessica Woods, at the bowling alley. They were united in marriage on September 9, 2009, creating many lasting memories together. Jeff and Jessica were blessed with two children, Winter and Phoenix. A devoted husband and proud father, he cherished spending time as a family.
Jeff was a skilled laborer in the heating and cooling field. He had a natural talent for tinkering and enjoyed many hours working on a project in his shed while listening to music.
Despite facing significant health challenges, including a courageous battle against Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma which he victoriously overcame, Jeff never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need. His generosity and kindness touched countless lives.
Jeff left this world May 7, 2025, in Salem, Missouri, at the age of forty-four years. Those left behind to treasure his memory include his loving wife: Jessica McElfresh of Salem, MO; children: Winter and Phoenix McElfresh of Salem, MO; parents: Stanley and Jeanie McElfresh of Salem, MO; brother: Jason McElfresh and wife Jannine of Salem, MO; father and mother-in-law: Rick and Lois Woods of Arkansas; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents.
Jeff will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Celebration of Life for Jeffery Dwayne McElfresh was held Saturday, May 10, 2025, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Pastor Jim Privett officiating. Song selections played were "Amazing Grace" and "Go Rest High On That Mountain". Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
