Jeffery T. Nield

Jeffery T. Nield, a.k.a. "Quincy", 69, passed away on May 16, 2025. Born on July 3, 1955, in Indianapolis, Jeff's journey was marked by hard work, deep devotion to family, and an unmistakable zest for life.

Jeff began his professional life as a blue-collar worker and through determination and perseverance rose to become a successful small business owner. His work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit were defining aspects of his life, earning him respect from business associates and customers alike.

For 49 years, Jeff shared a devoted marriage with his wife, Wendy L. (Yaryan) Nield. Together they built a loving family that was the center of Jeff's world. He was a proud father to two daughters: Laura Vidal (Lee), and Brittney Roach (Joshua). His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren-Layla, Levi, Junior, Waylon, and Samson - each of whom brought immense joy to his life. Jeff is also survived by 7 siblings.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father Donald "Pick" Nield, mother Phyllis Johnson, grandmother Ethel "Maws" Brunton, and brother Terry Bland. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life.

He loved golfing and the New York Yankees. A passionate fan of Bobby Knight and Indiana University basketball, Jeff rarely missed a game when the Hoosiers took the court. Those who knew Jeff will remember his larger-than-life personality-his laugh could fill a room, his quick wit kept everyone on their toes, and his big heart left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 5, 2025 at his home, Quincy style.
