Jeffery Todd Rich, born on March 24, 1963, in Liberty, Kentucky, peacefully passed away in Greenwood, Indiana, on January 29, 2026. He was a cherished member of the community and a dedicated professional, having built a significant career with the Electrical Union IBEW 481.
Jeffery’s academic achievements include an associate degree in math and science, which served as a foundation for his successful career in the electrical industry. He had a profound love for his work, and his colleagues will remember him not only for his expertise but also for his kindness and willingness to help others.
Beyond his professional life, Jeffery was a man of many interests. He enjoyed playing cards, engaging in strategic games of chess, and watching sports, all of which brought him joy and connected him with friends and family.
He is survived by his loving mother, Nancy Rich; his son, Cody Rich; and his grandchildren, Eric Thacker and Rowan Thacker. Jeffery also leaves behind his niece, Tabitha Rich; his nephew, Robert Rich II; his great niece, Julia Rich; his sister-in-law, Cindy Rich; his niece, Vasati Baker; and his great niece, Ava.
Though he faced loss in his life, including the passing of his father, Bobby Rich, his brother, Robert Rich, and nephew, Chad Rich, Jeffery remained a source of strength and support for his family.
A visitation will be held on February 20, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Indiana Funeral Care - Greenwood Chapel, located at 2433 E. Main St., Greenwood, IN 46143. This will be followed by his funeral service at the same location at 1:00 PM. Later, a graveside service will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 910 N Morgantown Rd, Greenwood, IN 46142, starting at 2:30 PM.
Jeffery Todd Rich will be remembered for his contributions to both his profession and his family, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience.
