Jeff was a good friend from AEPi at IU and as he was a year older than me, I looked up to him. He was always his own man and blazed his own path in life. I liked Jeff as a friend and a confidant. I will miss him, his laugh and his smile. His memory will be with me forever.

Jeff and I were room mates in 1979 when we were teaching pros together at Tam Tennis Club. Every year we used to go to the US Open, and because Jeff was a stringer for Prince and strung for all the pros. The best part was that he used to get press passes and we could pop in at any match where there were empty seats. My fondest Open memory was when we went one year for the qualifying week. When we wandered into one of the stadium courts there was none other than Jimmy Connors playing a practice set against Eddie Dibbs. Connors looked up and said, "How ya doom´ fellas? Make yourself at home." And we did, in the second row within feet of the players. I´m sure Jeff ended up in tennis heaven...

Jeff was a friend of mine from Munster High School and at Indiana University and was a great guy. Always a great sense of humor and easy going plus of course loved tennis. May his memory be a blessing.

Our condolences to Jeff´s family. Our son Chris played the zonals with Jeff as his coach and later we´d meet him and his son, Jason, often for tournaments. He was a good, kind and great coach . His love of tennis and teaching was evident in his actions and his smiles. May he rest in God´s loving arms.
