Omaha - Jeffrey died peacefully at his home August 16, 2025. Jeffrey Alan Smith was born May 12, 1961 in Highland, Illinois to Dale John Smith and Dona Mae Smith. Jeff attended school in Edwardsville, Illinois. Then enlisted in the Navy from 1980 to 1986. He was married to Sandy Smith for the last 21 years. His interests include military history, Civil War history, cars, and cooking. An avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and active in church. He was proceeded in death by two brothers, his mother and father. Survivors include children, Steven and Rachel, wife Sandy, and sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and John.
Funeral services are on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Saint Michael’s Lutheran Church 13232 Blondo St., Omaha, NE 68164. Visitation is at 9:30 AM. Funeral starts at 10:30 AM, lunch following in the church. Pastor Cara Jensen is officiating.
