Grovetown, GA – Jeffrey “Jeff” Dale Ballinger, 64, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. Jeff was happily married to the love of his life, Tammy Ballinger, for 42 years.
Born in Cleveland, Tennessee, Jeff was the son of the late H.L. and Bargie Ballinger. Jeff was a devoted member of Abilene Baptist Church and a man of deep faith, steady character, and generous spirit.
In addition to his beloved wife, Tammy, Jeff is survived by his children, Matt Ballinger and wife Kristen, and Christie Amerson and husband Mitchell. He was a proud grandfather to Lincoln and Magnolia Amerson. Jeff also leaves behind his sister, Lisa Campbell and husband Buck, his dear mother-in-love, Wilma Coil, and many cherished nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Abilene Baptist Church, with Dr. Brad Whitt and Dr. Josh Lancaster officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Abilene Baptist Church Vacation Bible School, 3917 Washington Rd, Martinez, GA 30907, or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 105455, Atlanta, GA 30348 or donate.cancer.org.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907. (706) 364-8484.
