Mr. Jeffrey "Corey" Calhoun, age 56, formerly of Thomson Georgia, a resident of Atlanta GA, entered into rest on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta, GA. He was born on Sunday, August 10, 1969, at Talmadge Hospital in
Augusta, GA to Mr. Jefferson A. Calhoun and the late Mrs. Mary Eva Calhoun, of whom he held the fondest memories.
Long lasting memories will forever be cherished by his devoted father, Mr. Jefferson Calhoun (
Thomson, GA); one loving sister Sharon Calhoun (
Thomson, GA), three loyal brothers, Michael (Betty) Calhoun of Harlem GA, Gregory (Tamika) Calhoun of Grovetown, GA, and Tyrone Calhoun of
Thomson, GA. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Corey was a graduate of Thomson High School's Class of 1987, and he worked professionally as a factory work in the chemical industry for many decades. His life touched everyone he met through his smile, conversations, and love for family and friends. He held a special love for jazz music and often enjoyed a meal of fried chicken. Last, but not least he held a strong love for riding his motorcycle and enjoying the fellowship his team of Biker Brothers from the Biker Nation Club, whom he spoke of often and highly. Corey always stated that riding his motorcycle gave him the greatest joy. He compared it to the release of beautiful white doves breezing in the wind--just riding for the journey not focused on the destination. Traveling on his bike was his happy place. When life threw him a curve, he was able to lean into the curve and ride it out. Corey was celebrated as being an independent thinker and someone who was confident in himself. He once stated, "always love yourself because self-love is all you will have when no one else remains."

Corey, you are gone from our sight, but you will never be gone from our hearts. It is hard to forget someone who gave us so much to remember. When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure, just as you were. Not a day goes by that you are not loved and missed. A life that touches others goes on forever--those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday...unseen, unheard, but always near...still loved, still missed, and forever dear."
