Memorial services celebrating the life of Jeffrey Dale Colson, 55, of Baskin, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, August 24, 2025 at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Prentis Gandy officiating.
The visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Friendship Baptist Church.
Mr. Colson was born on June 20, 1970, in Monroe, Louisiana and passed away on August 19, 2025, in West Monroe, Louisiana.
Jeff was a father, son, grandfather, and brother who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Jeff always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger. He loved spending time with family and friends. He loved cooking. Jeff was a welder by trade and was the most hardworking guy.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Ina and Leon Colson; and brother, David P. Colson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Josh Colson (Julia); sisters, April Colson (Sam) and Dawn Pickett (Harvey); brothers, Steve Colson (Christy) and Scott Colson (Emily); several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, loved ones, and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Josh McGurk and Jamie Eaton.
