Jeffrey James DeCapua

Jeffrey James DeCapua, age 70, passed away peacefully in his home on July 25, 2025. He was born on November 24, 1954, in Buffalo, Ny, to Frank Anthony DeCapua and Edith Lumpkin DeCapua. Jeff was a loving husband and brother. he is survived by his wife of 20 years, Joan DeCapua and 7 sibling; Dolores Wurster, Marge Martin, John DeCapua, Inez Hacker, Brenda Hancock, Denise Johnson, and Christine DeCapua. Jeff was a graduate of Frontier High School in Hamburg, Ny. He later joined the US Air Force where he served honorably for 4 years. Jeff studied aircraft mechanics/maintenance in the Air Force and was a skilled electrician. He went to work for United Airlines as a supervisory aircraft maintenance manager until his retirement. Jeff was an adventurer who loved to fly his hang glider in his earlier years. He made several cross country motorcycle trips with his wife Joan visiting multiple states and landmarks throughout the United States. Memorial services will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida on October 10, 2025 at 10:30am.

Jeff loved animals as he adopted a cat named Emma from the local animal shelter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pasco Animal Services, 19640 Dogpatch Lane, Land O' Lakes, Florida 34638.
