PAINTED POST - Jeffrey Mayson Dennis was born in Brooklyn, New York on March 30, 1947. He passed away at the age of 76 on June 8, 2023, in Hornell, NY. Jeff was married to the love of his life, Sandra Dennis for fifty-five years and they had three children. He loved spending time with his six grandchildren. Jeff worked for the United States Postal Service for over thirty years.
Jeff was a very special person, who had a huge, generous heart and a gentle spirit. He loved people and social gatherings. Jeff was a music lover and enjoyed live music whenever possible. He especially loved classic rock, and had a treasured collection of 45 and vinyl records. He had a passion for studying maps, bike riding, and had the most amazing memory for numbers. Driving and a good road trip were his passions, in addition to being an avid Yankee and Orangemen fan his entire life.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife Sandra Dennis, his children Carol (William) Peroni of Robbinsville, NJ, Allen (Rieko) Dennis of Japan, and Laura (Steven) Perrotta of Fairfax, VA and grandchildren, Case Johnson, Isabella and Vanessa Peroni, Gia and Joey Perrotta, and Shun Ikoma.

I worked with Jeff at the Elmira Post Office. He was a fun guy and we both loved the song "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen when it came out. We would take turns requesting it on the radio while we worked getting the mail out. Say hello to Freddy Mercury for me, Buddy.
