Jeffrey N. Donelson Sr

Jeffrey Neil Donelson, Sr., passed away on November 8, 2025, at his home in Tyaskin, Maryland. Born on January 25, 1945, in Baltimore, MD, Jeff lived a full and vibrant life that touched many with his intelligence, handiness, and creativity.
Jeff was a proud graduate of Hereford High School's class of 1963. His passion for building and fixing things led him to a successful career as a Tool and Die Maker. His meticulous craftsmanship and innovative spirit were the hallmarks of his professional life. Jeff also served his country with honor as a veteran of the Navy, a period of his life that instilled in him a sense of discipline and camaraderie that he carried throughout his life.
In his personal life, Jeff was a devoted husband to his wife, Linda S. Donelson, and a loving, proud father to his son, Jeff Donelson, Jr. his daughter-in-law, Penny Donelson, granddaughters, Madeleine and Sarah Donelson, and stepson John Matthews, brought him great joy. Jeff's brother, John Donelson, and sister, Nancy Beard, will miss him and all look forward to seeing him again along with their beloved sister Joyce who preceded Jeff in death.
An avid enthusiast of building and restoring, Jeff found great pleasure in working with his hands. His interest in gunsmithing was a testament to his ability to make any part needed, no matter how challenging. His garage was a sanctuary where he brought classic cars back to their former glory, and his skills as a craftsman were evident in every project he undertook. Those who knew Jeff understood that if something needed doing and it was in his power to do it, he did it. He approached every challenge with a problem-solver's mindset and every opportunity with the heart of an artist. His legacy is one of love, dedication, and the countless things he built and restored, which will continue to stand as a testament to his life's work.
As we say goodbye to Jeffrey Neil Donelson, Sr., we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Jeff's journey on earth has ended, but his story will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
