My prayers and thoughts are with the family at this time. So many great moments starting Calvary Chapel. I know Pat would love being with all her grandchildren . Blessings and Love, Martha Stover

This posting about Donnie totally caught me off guard. Not much a person can say when that happens. I´m left speechless.
I could go on and on about Donnie, but what´s the point? There is none. By that I mean the life a person lives is the True Legacy of that person. I remember thinking back in high school that there was something different about Donnie. Something unsaid. Something Special, that would outlive him and his shadow. What it was I didn´t know. Ironically, I do now. Sometimes it takes people experiencing a tragedy to figure things out. Hé had a message for us all.
When I say a Tragedy, it´s not really a Tragedy because the person is in a better place. The Tragedy is only for those left here and how we never took the time to tell those left how important they have been to us all. Isn´t that the Tragedy we all refer to in these times. For those of you who take the time to enlighten those in your lives of their importance, congratulations! You have prevailed. For those of us who haven´t, maybe we should take note.
Donnie was Donnie. Hé was a real person. In death hé remains a real person. Hé remained and remains true to character...hé was...Donnie...Even in death, hé has the last word.
Rest well my friend. Your determination has won you a place at the head of the table. You are a True Winner.

Donny and I were at rival elementary schools in Garland, TX? but soon joined up together at Sam Houston junior high school. He was a great athlete and it carried on into high school. Donny was a good friend of mine throughout high school and was a groomsmen at my wedding.
Donny will surely be missed him. We will keep his family and friends in our prayers.
