Sandra L. Keator

Sandra L. Keator, 83, of Edwardsville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026, in Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.

Sandra was born in West Wyoming, to the late Donald and Elizabeth (Gardner) Saunders.

She graduated from West Wyoming High School in 1960 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Music Education at Wilkes College. She started her career as a church organist at St. George’s Episcopal Church in Nanticoke, PA, and eventually became Director of Music at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wilkes-Barre, PA, where she directed for 45 years. In her free time, she taught piano and voice lessons.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother Donald Saunders and sister Barbara Welliver.

Sandra is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Keator of Warrior Run; siblings, Joyce Stocker of Mt. Zion, Rita Finn of Colorado Springs, CO, Cheryl Cavaleri of Trucksville, Karen Henry of Beach Lake, NY, and Dawn Moyer of Mountaintop, PA.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 190 South Main St., Wilkes-Barre, PA, on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 11 a.m., which will be followed by a luncheon.
