We lost our smart, kind, and very funny Jeff Geurts, who passed unexpectedly on June 6, 2024. He was 62 yrs. old.
He endured 40 years with a mental illness which he accepted with humor and grace.
He served in the U.S. Army, and loved anything military.
He loved living at Legacy Village of Sugarhouse and loved all of his Legacy Family. He was always so appreciative of everything the Veterans Administration did for him, especially his MICM Team: Dr. Vinegra and Dr. Grisham, and special nurses: Shannon, Vince, and Allen.
Jeff is survived by his mother Mary Runge (Mike); father Bill Geurts (Karla/deceased); sisters Liz Runge (Ken); Kim Geurts (Jerry); Mindi Powers (Merret).
A Remembrance Gathering will be held on June 25, 2024, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Chateau at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road (10600 S.), Sandy, UT. Interment with military honors will follow at 1:00 pm at the Camp Williams Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park, 17111 S. 1700 W., Bluffdale, Utah.
