Jeffrey Hofstedt Obituary
He was born on December 3, 1954, in Minneapolis, to Robert and Gloria (Verkyn) Sloan.
Jeff was united in marriage to Jacalyn Trout on August 28, 1998.
Jeff worked since he was 17 years old as an autobody technician and painter for various businesses in Twin Ports.
He loved to go fishing, camping, and being in nature, especially by a fire. Jeff was an avid Vikings fan. He cherished the time spent with his children and grandkids.
Preceding him in death were his father, Robert and mother and stepfather, Gloria and Ray Hofstedt, and siblings, Bruce, Nancy, Vicky, Shelly, Terrisina, and baby Ray.
He is survived by his wife, Jacalyn Trout; children, Emily (Keith) Hammer, Jeffrey Hofstedt Jr; step children, Josiah Trout, Jessie (Tony Schultz) Trout, Micah (Robin) Trout, Nathan (Mari) Trout, Sarah (Israel) Rosha, Elizabeth Wasmund, Dennis 'DJ' Howes Jr. and, Hannah Howes; step mother, Darlene Sloan; grandchildren, Adam, Tyler, Lyric, Lydia, Maysun, Eli, Mariah, Samuel, Uriah, Rowan, Mario 'Carter', Madison, Luca, MaKenna, Israel 'Liam', Malik and, Matthias; great granddaughter, Raenah; siblings, Bobby, Mike, Sheila, Denise, Daniel, Jacqueline and, Kym; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Jeff's life will be held on Saturday, December 9th, from Noon until 3:00 p.m. at the Superior Moose Lodge, 66 E 5th Street, Superior, WI 54880.
The family would like to thank the St. Lukes Emergency Department, Drs. Luke Midlo & Timothy Kleinschmidt, nurse Sue, hospice nurse Jean, hospice volunteer Riley, and social worker Nicole, for their compassionate care of Jeff and support for Jacalyn.
