A devoted and hardworking man, Jeff retired after 26 years of service with the United States Postal Service. He had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoyed collecting treasures, and was a passionate fan of University of Alabama football. Above all, Jeff was known for his big heart and generous spirit, always looking for opportunities to give to others.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Fred Hunter; paternal grandparents, Katherine and William Hunter; and maternal grandparents, Dorothy and Obie Guthrie.
He is survived by his loving mother, Margaret (Polly) Hunter; sister, Kim Lawson; brother, Todd Hunter; niece, Ashley Freeman (Zach Freeman); and nephews, Hunter Lawson and Michael David Hunter (Caitlin Hunter).
Jeff's memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were touched by his warmth and generosity.
