With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jeffrey Allen Jeanis, who left us on March 26, 2025, in Manhattan, Kansas. Born on July 28, 1971, in Port Arthur, Texas to Ronnie and Mollie Jeanis. Jeffrey lived a life dedicated to service, family, and community.
A proud graduate of Bridge City High School, Class of 1989, Jeffrey went on to serve his country with honor in the U.S. Army from 1989 to 1998. After his military service, he found his calling in security at Flint Hills Job Corps, where he devoted 20 years to ensuring the safety and well-being of others.
Jeffrey had a deep love for sports, especially football and basketball. He was a passionate fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas State University, always cheering on his teams with unwavering enthusiasm.
He is lovingly remembered by his family: mother, Mollie Jeanis, Lynette Clayton, and Jason Jeanis, as well as his nieces and nephew—Melanie Bethel, Rebecca Hruska, Heather Clayton, Cynthia Jeanis, Brandi Jeanis, and Jonathon Jeanis. He will also be deeply missed by his many friends and co-workers, whose lives he touched with kindness and dedication.
Jeffrey is now reunited in eternal rest with his father, Ronnie Jeanis. His legacy of loyalty, warmth, and commitment to others will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
